The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Washington...

  Skokomish River near Potlatch affecting Mason County.
  Skagit River near Concrete affecting Skagit County.
  Tolt river near Carnation affecting King County.
  Snoqualmie river near the falls affecting King County.
  Newaukum river near Chehalis affecting Lewis County.
  Bogachiel River near La Push affecting Clallam County.
  South fork Nooksack River at Saxon bridge affecting Whatcom   County.
  Nooksack River at north Cedarville affecting Whatcom County.
  North Fork Stillaguamish River near Arlington affecting Snohomish
  County.
  South fork Stillaguamish River near Granite Falls affecting
  Snohomish County.
  Snoqualmie river near Carnation affecting king county.
  Issaquah creek near Issaquah affecting king county.

Flood bulletin no. 9

Heavy rain will continue across most of western Washington today and Tonight. Strong westerly winds aloft will enhance the rain amounts In the mountains. In the last 12 hours ending at 2 am precipitation Amounts between 2 and 5 inches have been reported in the Olympics And cascades. These high precipitation rates are expected to Continue into tonight. In addition to the heavy rain...freezing Levels will be up around 9000 feet today before decreasing tonight. This combination will drive almost all western Washington rivers Above flood stage with major flooding on numerous rivers forecast.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive cars...trucks...or suvs through flooded areas...this is The cause of most flood related deaths in Washington. Be alert for Rapid changes and monitor developments by listening to noaa weather Radio or other local media.

 

 

The flood warning continues for
  The south fork Nooksack river at Saxon bridge
* from 9 am Wednesday until Thursday afternoon.
* at  2:00 am Wednesday the stage was 7.2 feet.
* flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* minor flooding is forecast.
* forecast...the river will rise above flood stage around 9 am
  Wednesday and crest near 8.4 feet around 4 am Thursday. The river
  will fall below flood stage Thursday morning.
* impact...at 8.0 feet...the Nooksack river floodwaters will inundate
  much of the low farm lands along the river...with water over some
  roadways...including potentially highway 9 north of acme.


The flood warning continues for
  the Nooksack river at North Cedarville
* from 6 am Wednesday until Thursday evening.
* at  2:30 am Wednesday the stage was 146.4 feet.
* flood stage is 146.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* forecast...the river will rise above flood stage around 3 am
  Wednesday and crest near 147.5 feet around 10 pm Wednesday. The
  river will fall below flood stage Thursday late morning.
* impact...at 147.3 feet...the Nooksack river cause widespread
  flooding of low farm lands along the river downstream through
  Lynden...with swift water moving over several roads.

The flood warning continues for
  The Nooksack River at north Cedarville
* until Thursday evening.
* at 5:00 am Wednesday, the stage was 147.2 feet.
* flood stage is 146.5 feet.
* minor flooding is occurring. The forecast is for moderate
  Flooding.
* forecast...the river will continue to rise and crest near 148.9
  Feet around 4 pm Wednesday. The river will fall below flood stage
  Thursday early afternoon.
* impact...at 147.3 feet...the Nooksack river cause widespread
  Flooding of low farm lands along the river downstream through
  Lynden...with swift water moving over several roads.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rains will cause flooding of small Creeks and streams...highways and underpasses. Additionally...
Rural roads and farmlands along the banks of creeks...streams...And other low lying areas are subject to flooding.

If flooding is observed act quickly. Move up to higher ground to Escape flood waters. Do not stay in areas subject to flooding when Water begins rising. Also...do not drive your vehicle into areas Where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great To allow your car to cross safely.
