The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a flood warning For the following rivers in Washington...
Nooksack River at Ferndale affecting Whatcom County.

Heavy rain in the mountains will drive the Nooksack river at Ferndale above flood stage tonight. The national weather service in Seattle has issued a
* flood warning for
the Nooksack river at Ferndale
* from late tonight to Saturday morning.
* at 5:30 pm Wednesday the stage was 17.7 feet.
* flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* moderate flooding is forecast.
* forecast...the river will rise above flood stage around 1 am
Thursday and crest near 21.3 feet around 4 am Friday. The river
will fall below flood stage early Saturday morning.
* impact...at 21.0 feet...the Nooksack river will cause widespread
flooding from near Ferndale downstream to the mouth...with swift
waters in residential areas and over farm lands and roads. Erosion
may damage some river banks.
