Due to extensive flooding between Sumas and Everson and near Acme on SR 9 commercial vehicles are being rerouted.  Commercial vehicles south bound at Abbotsford BC are being routed to the Blaine port of entry.  Canadian bound commercial vehicles are being advised by Department of Transportation reader boards to continue to the Blaine truck crossing into Canada and not to attempt to drive to the Sumas border crossing.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Washington State Department of Transportation worked cooperatively with the Canada Border Service Agency to accomplish this reroute.
