County Offcials have Flood Warning

Whatcom County Public Works Maintenance and Operations has a warning for Whatcom County motorists: Go around the road closed sign and you will be risking your life and the lives of anyone else in the vehicle. Whatcom County Public Works is getting numerous reports of "Road Closed" signs being moved and motorists driving around the signs into deep water. In Washington state driving around the road closed sign is the number one cause of death in a flood event. The depth of the water may not be clear and the road could be washed out under the water and you could be trapped or worse.
