...Cool air mass moving into western Washington with snow in the mountains...

Cool air is pouring into western Washington this morning in the wake of Thursday evenings cold front. Snow levels are already down To near 3000 feet and remain near 3000 feet through Saturday. Snow Showers will continue today into tonight. A more organized band of Showers on Saturday has the potential to produce up to a foot of
New snow during the day on Saturday in the cascades.

...Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 6 am pst Saturday...

 

...Winter Storm Watch now in effect from 6 am Saturday morning through Saturday afternoon...

Showers will continue over the cascades through tonight. 6 to 12 Inches of new snow is expected by Saturday morning with the snow Level remaining near 3000 feet.

A more organized band of showers will move into the area on Saturday with the potential for up to a foot of new snow during The day. New snow amounts will be highest over the central Cascades with paradise on Mount Rainier having the best chance at The highest new snow amounts. Snow showers will taper off Saturday night.
