Winter Weather Advisory Urgent - Winter Weather Message

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 pm pst this Evening...



A strong cold front will move through western Washington this morning. Snow will fall in the mountains and the snow level will quickly fall to around 1500 feet today. New snow of 4 to 6 inches Is expected...but local amounts of 10 inches are possible in the Cascades today...especially if a Puget Sound convergence zone sets up this afternoon.

The snow level will fall to 1000 feet this evening as the snow showers taper off.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Those planning travel in the mountains today should be prepared for winter driving conditions. For the latest road Conditions...call 511 or 800 695 road...or visit the Washington State department of transportation web site at www.wsdot.wa.gov.
