Urgent - Winter Weather Message for Cascades


Olympics-west slopes northern Cascades and passes-West slopes central Cascades and passes-

Winter weather advisory remains in effect until 7 pm pst this Evening...

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 7 pm pst this Evening for the Olympics and the north and central cascades of Western Washington.

A cold front moved through western Washington this morning Bringing 3 to 8 inches to the Olympics and central and north Cascades including many of the major passes. The snow level has fallen to 1000 ft and will remain there through this evening. Showers behind the front will result in another 1 to 2 inches of Snow above 1000 ft through early this evening. However...a Puget Sound convergence zone may bring locally higher amounts from Stevens pass south to Snoqualmie pass. Snowfall totals in these
Passes could reach 10 inches by this evening.
