.High wind warning remains in effect until noon pst today..High wind watch remains in effect from this evening through Tuesday afternoon...
A strong pacific frontal system just offshore will produce damaging winds along the coast and in the north interior this morning......more widespread high winds are possible Monday night and Tuesday...
Strong winds are occurring along the Washington coast and in the North interior of western Washington this morning. Local damaging Wind gusts to around 60 mph can be expected as a strong weather system moves through the region. The wind is expected to decrease this afternoon.
Another round of strong and more widespread could occur tonight and Tuesday as a developing low pressure system moves to Vancouver Island. The best estimate at this time is that a deep 982 millibar storm will reach Vancouver Island around daybreak Tuesday.
South winds of 25 to 40 mph with local gusts to 60 mph will continue this morning as a vigorous low pressure trough moves by the region and tracks into British Columbia.
Another period of damaging winds is possible tonight and Tuesday as a deep surface low pressure center moves northeast across Vancouver Island. Widespread winds of 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph are possible with this system.
