Winter storm watch in effect from Thursday morning through Late Thursday night...


The national weather service in Seattle has issued a winter storm Watch...which is in effect from Thursday morning through late Thursday night.

* Heavy snow will begin over the cascades on Thursday morning as   A strong frontal system reaches western Washington.

* Snowfall accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are possible in the   Major passes on Thursday and Thursday night...while the Volcanoes,including Mt. Baker could receive 18 or more inches.


* Snow levels will start around 2000 feet on Thursday morning and   Then rise to over 5000 feet on Thursday night.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A winter storm watch means conditions are favorable for severe Winter weather. If you must travel in the watch area...carry an Extra flashlight...food...water...and blankets in case of Emergency.
